Dr. Shinichi Suzuki believed every child was born with the ability to play the violin just like every child is born to speak their native tongue.  Training the ear by listening to the music daily and working in a partnership with a parent, any child can develop great musical ability. Every child and parent will begin this journey by learning the song "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" in five different variations.

"Every child grows; everything depends on the teacher."--Dr. Suzuki
Parent classes are required. The Suzuki Method requires a close partnership between a child and a parent.  The Suzuki parent will learn to play "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" on the violin in a 6 week course of Parent Classes using Suzuki techniques so that the child can be guided at home between lessons.

Contact us if you wish to sign-up for our Parent Orientation Meeting.  We can answer all of your questions about our organization and prepare you for your parent classes.

Nurtured by Love, by Shinichi Suzuki, translated by Watraud Suzuki
This is an inspiring look at Dr. Shinichi Suzuki's philosophy and teaching methods for developing the natural abilities of every child. Everyone is born with high potential. "We must try to make them splendid in mind and heart, also."--Dr. Suzuki

Our students can start as young as age three and work on a cardboard violin to learn the proper techniques of handling the violin and bow. Listening to the music, required at all ages, can train the ear even at this very young age.

If you always wanted to learn to play the violin, this is the method for you.  Adults find the Suzuki method to be an enjoyable way to learn to play. Adults progress quickly with the Suzuki method.
